The REO always welcomes individuals interested in becoming a catechist or serving on our sub list. Qualifications include an enthusiasm for sharing your Catholic faith…working with young people to ensure that the Faith is handed on from generation to generation, and growing in your own faith and knowledge of the Catholic faith. The best teachers are the ones who love to learn and the best way to continue to learn and grow in the Faith is by teaching.  A Catechist Formation Day is usually held in August. Activities that day include time for prayer, team building, sharing best practices across the grade levels and presentations on topics pertinent to teaching the faith. Catechists can co-teach or team teach with another to accommodate busy family schedules.
