Confirmation
At St. Christopher, Confirmation is offered to registered 8th grade parishioners. Generally following the academic year, students meet the first Sunday of each month for large group session. This program is in addition to the 8th grade PSR or school religion class. Candidates participate in one day-long retreat, where they reflect deeper on the commitment of Confirmation and building the community.
Service and justice are core components of Confirmation preparation. One Saturday is designated Confirmation Service Saturday. Students serve one day at several agencies across the Diocese (such as Moriah House, St. Malachi, St. Colman, and Ennis Court) – building community within the Confirmation class and beyond.
Requirements for Confirmation
- 4 Parish Opportunities: Meant to introduce students to life in the Parish as adults. An email will be sent for every opportunity with Signup Genius
- One Youth Group
- 80% attendance to the Confirmation Program
- And 80% attendance to PSR in 7th and 8th grade
